Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold, has reacted to their Sunday afternoon’s draw with Chelsea.
The Reds played out a 1-1 draw with the Blues in their first Premier League of the season at Stamford Bridge.
The England international said he knew it was always going to be a difficult game following Chelsea’s very poor last season.
He said: “It was a difficult game, it was always going to be difficult. We knew they had a point to prove after a poor season on their books.
“At Stamford Bridge you take the point and we build from this now.
“We prepared for them to go 4-3-3, they’ve set up with a back three. They made it hard for us to play and pressed high.
“The first 20-25 minutes we played well but we couldn’t keep it up for some reason.”
On his new role, he continued: “I enjoy making things happen, I enjoy getting on the ball and I enjoy helping us win games.
“I like coming in to control it and dictate it more and that’s easier from the middle of the pitch.”
