Clement Lenglet, a center back from France, joins Tottenham on a temporary basis from Barcelona.
According to reports, the agreement contains an option to purchase.
Last season, Lenglet, 27, struggled to establish himself in Barcelona’s starting lineup, appearing in just seven La Liga games.
Lenglet was acquired by the Catalan club from Sevilla in 2018 for 35.9 million euros (£32 million), along with a 300 million euro (£265 million) release clause.
He joins Richarlison, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, and Richarlison as Antonio Conte’s summer additions.
Lenglet has made 160 appearances for Barcelona, helping them win the La Liga championship in 2018–19 and the Copa de Rey in 2021. Since his debut in 2019, Lenglet has earned 15 caps for France.
