The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, APC, and former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, is returning to Nigeria from France.
KEMI FILANI NEWS recalls that Tinubu departed Nigeria shortly after he held a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on June 27.
The spokesman of the APC flagbearer, Tunde Rahman, in a statement, said, “He is off to Paris, France to hold some important meetings. The APC standard-bearer is expected back in the country shortly.”
Tinubu disclosed his return to Nigeria on Friday evening via his official Twitter handle.
The tweet reads, “Heading home,” with link to his Instagram page showing him inside an aircraft.
Tinubu’s return to the country is coming hours after Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje claimed that the APC presidential candidate has agreed to pick a Muslim running mate ahead of the 2023 election.
