Supporters of the Super Eagles have slammed the team following their 3-2 win over Mozambique in a FIFA International friendly on Monday.
The Super Eagles were poor as they manage to beat the Mambas in the game played in Portugal
Some of the supporters who watched the match felt Jose Peseiro’s side did not play to expectations.
Despite being reduced to 10 men Mozambique managed to stop the Eagles from scoring more and pulled one back to make it 3-2 at the Estádio Municipal de Albufeira.
Geny Catamo gave Mozambique the lead in the sixth minute but the Super Eagles leveled through Terem Moffi in the 18th minute.
Mozambique were reduced to 10-men in the 37th and the Super Eagles were awarded a penalty on the dot of 45 minutes which was converted by Moses Simon.
However, Mozambique fought back to reduce the deficit through Faisal Bangal in the 55th minute.
“Confidence was absent and no tenacity in the team today compared to the last match. I wonder why? I just hope the coaching crew puts heads together to find out and solve the problem immediately,” one of the supporters wrote on X.
“Very boring. The team looking like a scam,” another added.
“Shameful, considering the opponents were a man down for the majority of the match,” another wrote.
“I’ve said it since last year we need to get a new coach,we have serious materials at hand but the tactical approaches and man management ‘no dey’ that team at all,” said another.
