The Super Eagles duo of Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi are close to avoiding relegation from the Premier League.
This follows a 3-1 win at Sheffield United on Saturday.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men were looking to bounce back from a 2-0 home defeat to Manchester City earlier this week.
It was a return to action for Awoniyi, who has been out since March with a muscle injury, as he came on in the 90 minute.
Aina saw action for 90 minutes in the morale boosting win.
The win took Forest to 29 points, three points from the relegation zone with two games left to play.
Brereton Diaz gave Sheffield the lead in the 17th minute but Callum Hudson-Odoi drew Forest leveled on 27 minutes.
In the 51st minute Ryan Yates put Forest 2-1 ahead before Hudson-Odoi sealed the three points with his second of the game on 65 minutes to make it 3-1.
In another Premier League fixture, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were in action in Fulham’s 0-0 draw at Brentford.
Their Super Eagles teammate Frank Onyeka was brought with eight minutes left.
