Manchester United players still believe Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the club and expect him to push for a move away in January, according to reports.
Ronaldo informed the Red Devils that he wanted to leave in early July after they missed out on Champions League football last season.
But the 37-year-old did not get any offers from top teams on the continent and ended up staying at Old Trafford.
Since then, he has started only one Premier League fixture under Erik ten Hag – the 4-0 demolition in the hands of Brentford.
Ten Hag prefers Marcus Rashford and feels the England international is capable of scoring at least 20 goals this season to help United launch a title bid.
With this in mind, United’s first-team stars think Ronaldo will have his sights set on an exit at the start of 2023 due to struggling to adapt to ten Hag’s style of play.
