“I am not your mate in the industry” Fausat Balogun tackles Fali Werepe at Yinka Quadri’s birthday party (Video)
Nollywood actresses Fausat Balogun and Fali Werepe almost got into a clash at Yinka Quadri’s recent surprise birthday party.
Fali Werepe had infuriated Madam Saje when she countered her at the star-studded party.
Kemi Filani news reported days back that the Yoruba Nollywood industry had gone all out for veteran actor Yinka Quadri who turned 63 on September 6.
Marking his new age, Nollywood actors, producers, filmmakers, marketers and more came out in large numbers to show their love for him.
Yomi Fabiyi, Mama No Network, Fausat Balogun, Fali Werepe and others were spotted at the surprise party.
A video which has now surfaced online showed Fausat Balogun, at the event throwing jibes at colleague, Fali Werepe.
Fondly known as Madam Saje, Fausat gave a short speech about the celebrant.
Fausat stated that she has been in the industry with Yinka for over 50 years.
This didn’t sit well with Fali Werepe, as she interrupted her speech with an exclamation.
Fausat Balogun didn’t take Fali Werepe’s side remark about her speech too well as she slammed her.
She noted how she had been in the industry before Fali.
“Fali, I senior you in this profession – let’s say it in public, I don’t talk too much, I am your Oga”.
Fali Werepe, who doesn’t hold any grudge against the actress, said she only called attention to her exaggeration.
“When she said she has been with Yinka for over 50 years, I shouted ahhhhh and I am not the only one who shouted ahhhh. People know when we started filming but we haven’t been in the industry for 50years.
Me and Abeni are friends and we can’t fight but we haven’t been in the industry for 50years”.

Madam Saje have been in the industry at least over 40 years. I grew up watching her film then when I was around 10 years thereabout and am slightly over 50 now

Family Werepe is correct. If they have been performing for over 50years that means they started acting before the age of 10 which is not true.

I know Mama Fausat Balogun in the firm called Agbodorogun at the late 70ties. She was young then. She has been in the industry closed to 50 years. She said right.

Madam Saje said ” going to 50 years” meaning she estimated the service or active years, and that is allowed and accepted in speech making.
Having said the above, I like to affirm that have known her on screen since the 80s. When you have groups like Ojo Ladipo(Ojo(Baba Mero) was alive, when he died they tried Albert Olayemi(Edopolor) and finally settled for Omobolanle(Aluwe) for his funny role). Obalende group having Obalende as leader, Osumare group ( Yinka Quadri, Mama Rainbow were MR’ husband as the leader Balogun group (Madam Saje was wife to her husband and leader Balogun). I can go on and on about theather groups in Nigeria. Since 80s to now is close or more than 40 years Madam Saje SPOKE THE OBVIOUS.
