Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez, has insisted he is not staying at the club because of money.
On Wednesday, Xavi made a u-turn on his decision to dump the LaLiga side.
In January, he had announced he will be quitting as head coach in the summer.
The 44-year-old said he would be walking away despite having a contract until 2025 at the Nou Camp.
However, after meeting with the club’s president, Joan Laporta and other senior officials, the former Spain midfielder will continue into the last year of his current deal.
“Rumours about me staying as I wanted to get the money from my final year of contract are fake… and invented to damage me.
“The president knows that if I had left a club, I would not have asked Barcelona for one single euro for my final year of contract,” Xavi said.
