Xavi Hernandez has made a u-turn about leaving Barcelona and will continue as their manager next season.
This was confirmed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, in a tweet on Wednesday night.
“BREAKING: Xavi has decided to change his mind and STAY as Barcelona manager!
“After tonight’s meeting and Laporta insisting for him to stay, Xavi accepts Barça conditions and will continue as head coach.
“Formal steps to follow,” Romano wrote.
In January, Xavi announced that he would be leaving Barca at the end of this summer.
The 44-year-old described the job as “cruel” and expressed concerns over his mental well-being.
