Despite a few rocky patches here and there, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been complimentary of the “vibe” that is growing at the team this season.
In August, Ten Hag made history by becoming the first United manager in a century to lose both of his opening two games in charge. Ten Hag also recently suffered a crushing loss to Manchester City.
But prior to playing Omonoia for the second time on Thursday night, United has won five of their most recent Premier League contests and is on a run of two straight Europa League victories.
The Dutchman has in the past acknowledged that his team is “not that good” and urged them to improve their consistency in terms of game-day intensity. He is happy to see that things are improving and moving in the right direction, though.
“I think we are developing in a good way,” he told the club’s official website.
“I see it from the season the vibe is good. Also the way the vibe between the fans and the team is good and that is what we bring every day in Carrington and definitely always on gameday, and we are looking forward. We have now some home games and it’s always fantastic to play at Old Trafford, and we are really looking forward [to it].”
