EFCC arraigns Sapphire Scents, Wale Jana, months after Tonto Dikeh humiliated him

EFCC arraigns Wale Jana

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned the Managing Director of Sapphire Scents Limited, Adewale Aladejana, also known as Wale Jana.

The celebrity businessman was humiliated on social media, months back over his schemeful acts.

Wale Jana was arraigned before Justice M. A Madugu of the Federal High Court sitting in Bwari, Abuja, for obtaining money under false pretense to the tune of N12, 000,000 (Twelve Million Naira only).

On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, he was arraigned on three-count charge bordering on misappropriation and obtaining under false pretense.

He collected the sum of N12 million from potential investors in his company, with a promise of turnover in six months. However, he didn’t return offering any profit or investment funds to his investors.

Tonto Dikeh drags Wale Jana

Recall that in March, Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh had issued out a disclaimer to victims of Sapphire CEO, Wale Jana.

The actress for over 3 years served as the brand ambassador for the company that deals in watches, glasses, perfume and other accessories.

Taking to her Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh, in a lengthy post, distanced herself from the brand.

She revealed that she had parted ways with the company in 2020 after realizing their schemeful acts.

Tonto Dikeh disclosed that she had been receiving death threats, complaints and calls about various investments.

Claiming to also be a victim, Tonto Dikeh stated that she would bring her pride down and apologize to all the victims.

She noted how they can’t deny that she decently and gracefully handled their calls and pacified them to have patience.

She was aware that many of their investors came from her being their ambassador and she is sorry for that.

Taking the blame, Tonto said she should had done a thorough check but she admits to her mistake.

Tonto told the distress victims who can’t reach him to drop their comment on COZA pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo page.

Tontolet made it known that she had voice note recordings of wale cursing out his investors, and messages where she solicited for him.

She called for victims of his fraudulent acts to sign petition against him.
