Sapphire Scents CEO, Wale Jana has broken his silence following arraignment by EFCC.
EFCC finally arraigned the celebrity businessman who had been dragged over unpaid debts.
Sharing a cryptic post, Wale Jana stated that it isn’t the critic who counts, nor the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
For him, the credit belongs to the man in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat, knowing that he would triumph.
“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
He added,”the credit belongs to the man who is actually, in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly”.
EFCC arraigns Wale Jana
This came after news broke out that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had arraigned Wale Jana.
Wale Jana was arraigned before Justice M. A Madugu of the Federal High Court sitting in Bwari, Abuja, for obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of N12,000,000 (Twelve Million Naira only).
He was arraigned on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, on a three-count charge bordering on misappropriation and obtaining under pretence.
According to reports online, he collected the sum of N12 million from potential investors in his company, with a promise of turnover in six months. However, he didn’t offer any profit or return the invested funds to his investors.
Tonto Dikeh drags Wale Jana
Recall that in March, Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh issued a disclaimer to victims of Sapphire CEO Wale Jana.
For over three years, the actress served as the brand ambassador for the company that deals in watches, glasses, perfume and other accessories.
Taking to her Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh, in a lengthy post, distanced herself from the brand.
After realising their schemeful acts, she revealed that she had parted ways with the company in 2020.
Tonto Dikeh disclosed that she had received death threats, complaints and calls about various investments.
Claiming to also be a victim, Tonto Dikeh stated that she would bring her pride down and apologise to all the victims.
She noted how they couldn’t deny that she decently and gracefully handled their calls and pacified them to have patience.
She was aware that many of their investors came from her being their ambassador, and she was sorry.
Taking the blame, Tonto said she should have done a thorough check, but she admitted to her mistake.
Tonto told the distressed victims who can’t reach him should drop their comments on COZA pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo’s page.
Tontolet made it known that she had voice note recordings of wale cursing out his investors and messages where she solicited for him.
She called for victims of his fraudulent acts to sign a petition against him.
