Nigerian Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala has revealed she and other teammates were scared of loosing against South Korea, their second game of the 2019 FIFA WWC.
Asisat who appeared on the score sheet and won the woman of the match award claimed after they lost 3-0 to Norway in the opening game, they were ‘a bit scared’ of loosing to South Korea and crashing out of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
“At first, I think we were a little bit scared of losing and going out.
“But after a while, we just decided to go for it. I always say that I’m never under pressure- I just go on the pitch and do my job.”
Oshoala told FIFA.com.
Nigeria went 1 goal up in the 29th minute when Do-Yeon’s turned in a through pass for Desire Oparanozie into her own net.
In the 75th minute, the second goal happened. Asisat Oshoala superb solo goal which had ingredients of a perfect display of pace, strength and a great finish.

With the win, Nigeria is only ahead of Korea in group A and sits third behind France and Norway.
The next game for Nigeria will be against host country, France at Roazhon Park in Rennes on June 17.
