Back on track! Nigeria’s Super Falcons beat South Korea 2-0

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have defeated South Korea by 2 goals to nil to get their FIFA World Cup campaign back on track.

A own goal and Barcelona’s Asisat Oshoala solo goal did the magic.

South Korean defender Kim Doyeon scored an own goal after she kicked the ball into her own net following strong pressing by Nigeria’s forward, Desire Oparanozie.

Meanwhile in the second 45 minutes of the game, Asisat Oshoala scored a beautifully solo goal after a counter attack by the team.

A draw against hosts France in the next game will see Nigeria proceed to the next round after Norway defeated them 3-0 in the opening game.
