Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a shock loan move to Liverpool to escape Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Reports in The Mirror claim Jurgen Klopp’s side have opened surprise talks with the Ligue 1 champions over taking Mbappe on loan for a year.
The World Cup winner refused to engage in talks with Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal after they lodged a world record £259million bid.
Mbappe has just one year left on his contract and has signalled his intention of running that down.
PSG do not want to lose him for nothing and are insistent he will either be sold or sign a new deal.
The French club have also accused Real Madrid of already having an agreement with the striker to join for free next summer.
Liverpool could offer a solution that would offer a way out for all the clubs involved.
If he were to join in a shock loan move, PSG would get some cash and his wages off their books.
Meanwhile, he would then get his dream move to Madrid in 2024.
