Manchester United is the preferred destination for Rasmus Hojlund this summer, according to talkSPORT.
PSG have joined the Red Devils in their pursuit of the Atalanta striker by making a verbal offer for the 20-year-old.
But courting PSG’s interest could merely be an attempt from Atalanta to hurry the Red Devils into getting the deal done.
Erik ten Hag is keen to sign a new No.9 this summer and said last night’s pre-season friendly defeat to Real Madrid emphasised their need for a striker.
“There were two things – the pressing can be better from the start, and scoring goals,” said the United manager.
“I think we need more players who are capable to be in the one-on-ones and we had the situations of one-on-ones.
“It was [Marcus] Rashford, it was, I thought, Scott McTominay in one-on-one situations. Garnacho, a one-on-one situation. From the situations, you have to score.”
