Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has rejected a move to Saudi Arabia this summer, according to Daily Express.
The former France international wants to continue to compete in Europe for at least one more season.
The 30-year-old scored Manchester United’s only goal against Wolves last weekend but fans have been fearing they could lose him with Al Ittihad interested.
Reports in Europe suggested that Varane’s former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema has been attempting to convince the defender to join him at Al Ittihad.
The Pro League side are said to have made contact with the defender’s representatives.
But a report on Daily Express claims that the 2018 World Cup winner has said no.
The former Real Madrid retired from international duty last season.
The report said that Varane still believes he has plenty left to offer at the top level and wants to win more silverware as a United player.
