Transfer news: Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Divock Origi will leave Liverpool this summer
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Divock Origi will leave Liverpool after seven years and will want to join another team this summer.
The Belgian attacker is regarded as a cult hero among Liverpool supporters because to a succession of spectacular goals for the Reds, most notably the UEFA Champions League semi-finals winner against Barcelona in 2019.
He has, however, failed to secure a starting spot at Anfield, trailing Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firminho.
Following the acquisition of Luis Diaz from FC Porto in January, the 27-year-old Belgian fell further down the pecking order at Liverpool, thanks to the Colombian’s outstanding form since his arrival.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Origi will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Divock Origi won the UEFA Champions League, English Premier League, League Cup, and FA Cup while at Liverpool.
