Folarin Balogun on Wednesday, became the most expensive sale Arsenal have made, after he completed a move to Monaco.
The Ligue 1 side have agree a £40million fee for Balogun, who spent last season on loan at Reims.
Balogun was also linked with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
Before now, the Gunners’ most expensive transfer out were Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool (£35m) and Alex Iwobi to Everton (£35m).
Balogun was very close to leaving Arsenal on a free transfer only two years ago.
But the Premier League club managed to convince him to sign a new contract.
