Top football agent, Mino Raiola, is not dead but currently in intensive care and battling for his life, reports said on Thursday.
Raiola who currently manages top footballers like Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Erling Haaland had in January undergone surgery.
In January, he tweeted: “Mino Raiola was subjected to ordinary medical checks which required anesthesia. These are scheduled checks, there have been no emergency intervention.”
However, reports had it that the agent had died as a result of an illness which was yet to be disclosed.
Reacting, Raiola tweeted, “Current health status for the ones wondering: p****d off second time in 4 months they kill me. Seem also able to resuscitate [sic].”
Also debunking the reports as false was Alberto Zangrillo, head of the anaesthesia and intensive care unit of San Raffaele hospital in Milan.
He said: ‘I am outraged by the phone calls from pseudo journalists who speculate on the life of a man who is fighting.”
The false reports had seen Real Madrid tweeting their condolence message to his family before swiftly deleting it upon learning of the falsehood.
