Nigeria International, Victor Osimhen, has revealed why he was angry with Napoli manager Rudi Garcia during their 0-0 draw with Bologna, saying it was because he always ‘wanted to win’.
The Super Eagles striker gave reason for his behaviour while apologising to his manager and teammates after he appeared to disagree with Garcia’s decision to substitute him.
Osimhen was visibly angry and got into a row with Garcia after he was subbed off for Giovanni Simeone with 4 minutes from normal time.
Osimhen caught a frustrated figure after hitting the woodwork once and missing a penalty.
Fabrizio Romano, an Italian football expert, has now revealed that the Nigerian forward has apologised for his reaction.
“Victor Osimhen has apologised today to manager Garcia and Napoli teammates after showing disappointment when subbed off yesterday.
“Osimhen said in the dressing room speech that he was overreacting as he always wants to win.”
