Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen was on the score sheet in his club, Napoli’s 6-1 pummeling of Sassuolo in Saturday’s Serie A fixture.
Kalidou Koulibaly opened scoring 7 minutes into the game at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona stadium, before Osimhen extended the Naples based side’s lead 8 minutes later.
The Parthenopeans continued to dominate the game with Hirving Lozano and Dries Mertens adding to more goals before the first-half break.
Mertens strike again to complete his brace after the resumption of play, before Amir Rrahmani also scored a brilliant goal to make it 6-0 in the 80th minute.
But Maxime Lopez responded moments later with a brilliant goal to reduce the deficit for Sassuolo.
The Blues came into the game from a disappointing 3-2 defeat to Empoli in Serie A, blowing a two goal lead.
Napoli are now third on the Serie A table with 70 points behind Inter Milan and AC Milan with 72 and 74 points respectively.
