After inking a new contract with Liverpool on Friday, Mohamed Salah sent a message to the team’s newest addition, Darwin Nunez and former teammate Sadio Mane.
On Friday, Salah agreed to a new contract with Liverpool that will keep him at the club until 2025.
With the new contract, the Egyptian superstar will earn around £350,000 per week, breaking the Reds’ salary structure.
Fabrizio Romano, an Italian transfer expert, confirmed this.
Romano tweeted: “Jurgen Klopp, the key man behind Mo Salah’s new contract signed today. Klopp had many direct talks with Salah to explain to him the plans for Liverpool future, considering Mo the ‘face’ of the project.
“Salah will be Liverpool’s best paid player for £350k per week.”
Mohamed Salah is eager to play alongside Nunez, who recently joined Liverpool as Sadio Mane departs for Bayern Munich.
Salah wished Mane the best of luck at Bayern Munich and Nunez many goals for Liverpool after signing a new contract with the club.
The 30-year-old told Liverpool’s official website: “I am so excited, I want to play with him. He had a good season and played good against us, home and away.
“Also, Sadio has left and I am going to miss him. He had great seasons with the club, so I wish him all the best. I wish Darwin all the best, too, to score many goals for us.”
