Kelechi Nwakali, a Nigerian midfielder, has turned down a move to FC Zurich in Switzerland.
According to a Spanish news outlet, Dario Sport, FC Zurich offered Nwakali €23,000 (N14.7m) per month.
The player, on the other hand, thought it was too small and turned down a move to the club.
After returning late from international duty, the 23-year-old was fired by his Spanish club, SD Huesca, in March.
Following Nigeria’s elimination from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Nwakali claimed illness prevented him from returning to the club on time.
The midfielder, who was previously on Arsenal’s books, has previously played in Holland and Portugal.
