Cristiano Ronaldo will start on the Portugal bench for this World Cup last-16 tie with Switzerland.
The 37-year-old has been dropped from the starting XI after head coach Fernando Santos said he “really didn’t like” Ronaldo’s outburst after being substituted in Portugal group-stage defeat to South Korea.
Portugal and Switzerland meet in the final tie of the round of 16, with the winners setting up a last-eight tie with either Morocco on Saturday.
