Napoli overcame a deficit to defeat Bologna and reclaim first place in Serie A.
Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee opened the scoring in the 41st minute, receiving a pass inside the box from Andrea Cambiaso and firing into the bottom right-hand corner of the net.
The hosts took the lead in the 49th minute after Hirving Lozano had equalized just before halftime.
Musa Barrow’s long-range attempt tied the score at 2-2, but Victor Osimhen gave Napoli the victory by lifting the ball into the goal.
Napoli has won 10 straight games across all competitions and has 26 points, two more than Atalanta, which defeated Sassuolo 2-1 on Saturday. Napoli is attempting to win the Italian championship for the first time since 1990.
In other news, AC Milan advanced to third place after winning 2-1 at Verona in Sunday’s late game.
With nine minutes left, Sandro Tonali gave Milan the lead after Koray Gunter of Verona had tied the score after teammate Miguel Veloso’s own goal in the ninth minute.
After extending their unbeaten streak to six games across all competitions with a goalless draw against Udinese, Lazio are fourth, five points behind Napoli.
Attacker Lautaro Martinez and midfielder Nicolo Barella each scored once as Inter Milan defeated Salernitana 2-0 at home.
The runners-up from the previous year, Inter, are currently in seventh place, eight points behind Napoli.
