Vera Anyim, the woman who made headlines after popular clergyman, Pastor Paul Enenche publicly embarrassed in his church has tendered a public apology.
Kemi Filani reported a few days back that the Nigerian lawyer had cried out to Nigerians for help. She noted how she is now a celebrity and as such, she needs new accommodation and security, as her former place is no longer safe.
Following the massive backlash she received, she answered apology to Nigerians. She explained that she wasn’t feeling safe and the fear of being kidnapped led her to beg for assistant. She added that people close to her thought she was giving huge amount of money hence her fear.
“I’m sorry for seeking public support regarding my accommodation it was because I wasn’t feeling safe and the fear of being kidnapped because everyone around thinks I was given plenty money from Port-Harcourt and this whole thing I wasn’t ready for it, I didn’t force myself please forgive me I’m sorry”.
Recall that a week back, Vera made headlines after she shared her testimony in Dunamis Church of how God made her the “only graduate in her family, which led to Pastor Enenche publicly embarrassing her as he slammed her for lying in his church.
The issue had irked much frenzy on social Media and Pastor Paul Enenche had tendered an apology to her as he explained that he never intended to disgrace the testifier.
Many had stood up for Vera as gospel singer, Lara George slammed the clergyman for looking down on her as she stated that his apology should be as loud as his criticism.
Ubi Franklin’s babymama, Sandra Iheuwa revealed that this is one of the reasons she doesn’t go to church, as she slammed the clergyman, degrading his pastoral calling.
Shan George also slammed the clergyman as she showed support for the woman stating that not believing a person is one thing, how you treat them is another. Sending love to the woman, she noted how she is a beautiful lady who made an effort to better her life.
Meanwhile, actress Jemima Osunde who had defended Paul Enenche, made a u-turn ajd tendered apology to Vera.
