Right-back Ola Aina of the Super Eagles is reportedly a target for newly promoted Nottingham Forest, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport of Italy.
It was rumored that Leeds would make a move for Aina in both January and earlier this summer; however, the club ultimately decided to sign Rasmus Kristensen, which is likely to put an end to any potential interest in the player who formerly played for Chelsea.
As a result of Djed Spence’s impending transfer to Tottenham from Middlesbrough, Nottingham Forest are looking to add a new right back to their roster this summer. Spence was a standout for Middlesbrough during his loan spell with Nottingham Forest in the previous campaign.
Aina, whose current contract with Torino is set to expire in the summer of 2019, spent the 2017–2018 campaign playing left wingback for Torino in Serie A and racked up 21 total appearances.
It is possible that he will be allowed to leave, and it is likely that a move back to the Premier League will be appealing to him.
The 25-year-old spent one year on loan at Fulham during the 2020–21 season, during which time the Cottagers were demoted from the Premier League. During his time at Fulham, the player made 31 appearances.
During his career, he has also played for Chelsea six times and has spent a season with Hull. In addition, he has played for Hull.
