Odion Ighalo extended his good goal-scoring streak for Al Hilal, netting the second goal in the Saudi Arabian side’s 2-0 win over Al Ittifaq.
Al Hilal took the lead in the first half thanks to Ali Albulayhi’s goal against Al Ettifaq at the half-hour mark, before Ighalo scored from the penalty spot to clinch the victory.
The Super Eagles attacker has already scored 21 goals in the Saudi Arabian top division this season, according to Pulse Sports.
Ighalo is likely to overtake Romarinho of Al Ittihad as the highest scorer in the Saudi Arabian league this season, with four goals.
The Nigerian international has now matched his greatest goal tally in a season, which he achieved in his second year with Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League.
