Odion Ighalo is overjoyed after assisting Al Hilal to victory in the Saudi Arabia Professional League on Monday night.
Ramon Diaz’s side defeated relegated Al-Faisaly 2-1 at Riyadh’s magnificent King Fahd International Stadium.
After being set up by Brazil winger Michael, the former Manchester United striker put the home team ahead on seven minutes.
In the 64th minute, Michael also set up Ighalo for the second goal.
Six minutes later, substitute Clayton cut the deficit in half.
Ighalo finished the season as the season’s leading scorer, with 23 goals.
Al Hilal, who won the title for the third time in a row, also won their 18th overall.
Ighalo took to social media to celebrate the team’s success as well as his own personal accomplishment.
“League Champions and top scorer 21/22 season. All glory to God,” he tweeted.
