It is no longer news that Kylian Mbappe has penned down a new deal with his French club, Paris Saint-Germain putting to rest long time speculations that the star will be joining Real Madrid.
It has been reported that the French international sent a message on Whatsapp to the president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, informing him that he would not be joining the Spanish club.
Mbappe, who is currently 23 years old, had been in negotiations with Madrid regarding a possible free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain at the conclusion of the current campaign.
However, he recently signed a new contract with the French champions that will keep him at PSG for the foreseeable future. This contract is for three years.
According to reports originating from Spain, Mbappe allegedly conveyed to Perez via a brief Whatsapp message rather than by calling him and informing him that he would not be joining Madrid.
Spanish TV show El Chiringuito claim the message read as follows: “I’m communicating to you that I have decided to stay at PSG.
“I want to thank you for the opportunity you gave me to play at Madrid, the club I was fan of since I was a kid.”
Miguel Delaney, the chief football writer for the Independent, claims that Perez is irate about Mbappe’s decision to stay at PSG. According to Delaney, Perez is furious about Mbappe’s decision.
