In a thrilling Carabao Cup match at Old Trafford, teenage winger Alejandro Garnacho took center stage as Manchester United came from behind to defeat Aston Villa in the EFL.
After a dull first half, Villa went on to lead twice as the game picked up.
But a minute after Diogo Dalot’s own goal, Garnacho came off the bench and altered the course of the game.
The Villa defense was unable to contain the young Argentine who ran right at them.
Garnacho directed Robin Olsen’s errant pass into the path of Bruno Fernandes, whose shot was deflected in by Tyrone Mings after Marcus Rashford had leveled the score.
The outstanding left-wing cross that Scott McTominay finished off to guarantee United’s advancement into the round of 16 was then made by Garnacho.
