Jorginho expected to leave Chelsea upon contract expiration

When his contract expires in the summer, Jorginho is anticipated to leave Chelsea because talks over a new agreement have stalled.

The midfielder, who represents Italy at the international level, moved from Napoli to Chelsea in 2018, but after four seasons in the Premier League, he is reportedly ready to move on as his contract expires. There won’t be a renewal, and it’s anticipated that he’ll move on.

The 31-year-old scored three goals in 19 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions in 2022–2023. With the Blues, Jorginho has won four trophies, the most notable of which are the Champions League in 2021 and the Europa League in the 2018–19 season.

Following the departure of the Italian star, Graham Potter will start searching for a midfielder. Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund and Declan Rice of West Ham United are both targets for interest, including Chelsea.

When Chelsea plays Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on December 27, their Premier League campaign will get underway once more.
