At least eight players from the Nigeria Professional Football League have left the country for the United States of America ahead of the Super Eagles’ international friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador.
Ojo Olorunleke of Enyimba and Adewale Adeyinka of Akwa United, as well as Chiamaka Madu of Rivers United, Victor Mbaoma of Enyimba, Ibrahim Buhari of Plateau United, and Ishaq Rafiu of Rivers United, made the trip.
The American embassy denied visas to Remo Stars’ Isah Ali and Kwara United’s Afeez Nosiru.
They were replaced by Faisal Ali of Katsina United and Babatunde Bello of Akwa United.
The international contingent is expected to arrive at camp on Wednesday (today).
On Saturday, the Super Eagles will face Mexico at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The second friendly against Ecuador will take place at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison four days later.
