Chelsea’s Kai Havertz, who played a key role in the team’s 2-0 victory over Bournemouth, claimed that Graham Potter, his coach, gives him freedom and confidence.
Havertz, who was a key member of Chelsea’s attack, scored a goal and provided an assist to help his team snap a three-game losing streak and secure crucial Premier League points. The international player for Germany has acknowledged his manager by saying that he enjoys working for him.
He said to Amazon Prime: “[Potter] gives me the freedom to do whatever I feel comfortable on the pitch. I like to play free and to be in the box. He gives me a lot of confidence.”
Early in September, Potter took over as Chelsea’s manager, and so far in 14 games under his leadership, his team has won seven of them. With the victory over Bournemouth, they move up to eighth place in the standings, six points behind fourth.
When the Blues players face Nottingham Forest on January 1, they will be looking to make it two victories in a row.
