The sum of money the winner of the Women’s World Cup would be paid by FIFA has been revealed.
The final of the 2023 FIFA women’s World Cup comes up between England and Spain on Sunday in Sydney.
The total FIFA prize pot for the Women’s World Cup is $110 million (£85 million).
TalkSPORT reports that the Lionesses received £10,000 each to help families attend the tournament in Australia and New Zealand.
Teams knocked out in the group stages were paid £24,000 per player while those
who left in the last 16 were paid £47,000 per player.
Each player in those teams earned £70,000 at quarter final and players in the losing team in the semi-final received £128,000, and the winning players earned £141,000.
Former final players will take home £213,000 each, while the runners-up will earn £153,000.
