Erik Ten Hag’s Ajax crush Heerenveen 5-0 to win Eredivisie title

Erik ten Hag’s Ajax team clinched the Eredivisie title with a 5-0 win over Heerenveen last night.

Ajax now has 82 points from 33 games, four more than second-placed PSV Eindhoven, with one round of games remaining.

Ajax won thanks to goals from Nicolas Tagliafico and Steven Berghuis, as well as a penalty from Sebastien Haller, all in the first 38 minutes, before Brian Brobbey and Edson Alvarez added two more late on.

Ten Hag will leave Ajax for Manchester United at the conclusion of the season.

It was Ten Hag’s final home game before moving to the Premier League, having been chosen as United’s new coach from the conclusion of the season last month.

On Sunday, Ajax will conclude their season at Vitesse Arnhem.
