Gabriel Imuetinyan Agbonlahor, a former England and Aston Villa striker has urged Liverpool that they need to recruit Jude Bellingham and a good striker this summer.
Liverpool’s Premier League title ambitions were dashed last Saturday when they were defeated by Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
Their 1-1 draw with Tottenham has left rivals Manchester City well in control of the Premier League championship race.
Jurgen Klopp’s team did win 2-1 at Aston Villa in midweek, but it is doubtful that the Cityzens will let it slide.
“I think they [Liverpool] need a top midfielder like [Jude] Bellingham and they need a top striker. Apart from that, they are good to go. They need two big signings, two top signings,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.
“The striker position, the way they play it can work without one. But against Spurs, they missed a striker.”
“Trent Alexander-Arnold was putting in a lot of crosses that were defended easily. They needed a striker in there so the ball can be played up to him and he holds it up.”
