According to him, the Argentine, the Englishman should not be surprised if he is considered for the position.
Gallagher captained the Blues in their 0-0 draw against Bournemouth last weekend at the Vitality Stadium.
He was said to have been shocked realising that he was to captain the west London giants for the Premier League game.
The club’s captain, Reece James is out injured while vice-captain Ben Chilwell was on the bench for the game against Bournemouth.
He told his press conference on Friday, “He was captain against Wimbledon also. He is supposed to be captain. It’s nice.
“It is normal if you see the starting XI versus Bournemouth, he was also captain versus Wimbledon, it’s not a big thing to create a party.
