EPL top goal scorers 2022-23: Erling Haaland continues to shine as Man City star leads golden boot rankings

EPL top goal scorers 2022-23: Erling Haaland continues to shine as Man City star leads the golden boot rankings.

Erling Haaland scored a last-second penalty to give 10-man Manchester City a 2-1 victory over Fulham, giving him 18 goals in just 12 appearances.

In order to surpass the mark of 34 goals scored in a season set by Andy Cole and Alan Shearer, Haaland, who entered as a substitute in the second half, needs just 17 goals in the 25 games left.

Harry Kane of Tottenham, who has 11 goals overall, is the closest pursuer and kept pace against Liverpool with a goal. The ankle injury that Aleksandar Mitrovic has been treating since the September international break prevented him from playing against Man City.

Mohamed Salah, who shared the award last year but had a very poor season to start, has picked up speed as the World Cup draws closer. He currently has six goals after scoring twice against Tottenham.

Ivan Toney of Brentford, who missed the match with Nottingham Forest, is behind the top three. Leandro Trossard of Brighton and Hove Albion and Miguel Almiron of Newcastle United are still close behind. With his goal against Southampton, Almiron, who has eight goals on the season, has scored in four straight games.
