Todd Boehly, a co-owner of Chelsea, is interested in signing Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
This information was shared over the weekend by well-known football transfer expert Nicola Schira in a tweet that was distributed through his Twitter handle.
In an effort to sign the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, Boehly allegedly met with Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, a few days ago in Portugal.
He tweeted on Saturday night: “Chelsea has already shown interest in #CristianoRonaldo. The new owner Todd #Boehly met Jorge #Mendes in Portugal 10 days ago and has asked for info for #CR7, who wants to leave #ManchesterUnited.”
Ronaldo informed Manchester United on Saturday that he intended to leave the club this summer.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus player is dissatisfied with Manchester United’s current position in the summer transfer window.
This summer, Manchester United have yet to sign a new player under their new manager, Erik ten Hag.
