The Daily Mail reports that Mohamed Salah has surpassed all other Premier League earners thanks to his new £400,000 weekly salary at Liverpool.
By signing a lucrative contract that will keep him in the c until 2025, the Egyptian has put an end to rumors about his future.
Now, Salah is earning more than both Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United and Kevin De Bruyne of Manchester City, both of whom are reportedly making £385,000 per week in salary.
Erling Haaland, City’s new striker, earns £375,000 per week, the same as Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
Salah, on the other hand, comes in at number four in terms of footballer compensation.
The salaries of those in front of him, all of whom are Paris Saint-Germain players, dwarf those of the 30-year-old.
Third-place finisher Neymar earns £606,000 a week.
Although Lionel Messi took a pay cut when he moved to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona last summer, he continues to earn a staggering £960,000 per week.
Prior to a few weeks ago, Messi was the highest-paid person in the world. However, teammate Kylian Mbappe recently passed him after agreeing to a new three-year deal with the Ligue 1 club, which is said to be worth £1 million per week.
