Ruthless Leicester defeated Wolves to earn their first away Premier League victory of the year and climb off the bottom of the standings and out of the danger zone.
With a breathtaking 22-yard strike that soared past Jose Sa and in off the post, Youri Tielemans gave the Foxes the lead.
Wolves had nine shots in the first 17 minutes, but they were down 2-0 when Harvey Barnes and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall combined to beat Sa.
Diego Costa, a former Chelsea striker who joined Wolves on a free transfer in September, had multiple chances but was unable to defeat the opponent’s goalkeeper Danny Ward, who deflected one effort and saved a header. Costa experienced other unsuccessful attempts.
Another player, Daniel Podence, was stopped by a spectacular save from Ward, and at the start of the second half, Ruben Neves shot a free kick just wide.
Wolves had already created and squandered 20 opportunities by the time Leicester scored their third goal, with James Maddison once more asserting his spot in the England World Cup squad with a beautiful low effort from 18 yards out.
Only their third shot of the game, a goal by Maddison, and their fourth, a goal by Jamie Vardy, gave Leicester their first league victory away from home after five straight losses.
