EPL: Partey shines as Arsenal beat Iheanacho’s Leicester City 2-0

Ghana international Thomas Partey was on the score sheet as Arsenal beat Leicester City 2-0 in their Premier League clash at Emirates Stadium, on Sunday.

Partey opened scoring in the 11 minute before Lacazette extended the Gunners’ lead to 2-0 from the spot after Soyuncu was penalized for a handball in the 59th minute.

Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho was in the starting xi but could not save the Brendan Rodgers’ men from defeat.

His compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi came in as a substitute in the game.

The Foxes came into the game from a 2-0 victory against Stade Rennes in the UEFA, Eurapa Conference League, where Iheanacho came off the bench to score one of the goals.

Both Partey and Nigerian Leicester trio – Iheanacho, Ndidi and Ademola Lookman, will face each others again when Nigeria and Ghana meet on March 25 and 29 for a two-leg World Cup Qualifier playoff.
