Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed Erling Haaland is “ready” to face Southampton on Saturday, live on Sky Sports.
City’s top scorer missed last Saturday’s 4-1 home win over Liverpool because of a groin injury he exacerbated during the international break.
But Guardiola has revealed the 22-year-old is now set to return at St Mary’s.
He said: “He trained really good in the last two days, so he will be ready.”
Asked whether he needs to play ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Bayern Munich, the Spaniard replied: “Bayern Munich is the last thought, so it’s Southampton.
“Premier League is every day, every week and it doesn’t depend on that.”
