Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has given away a £750,000 bonus he received for winning the Premier League title.
According toi Daily Mail, the Spaniard gave the bonus to the club’s staff.
Some of the club’s senior stars were paid bonuses of up to £750,000 inserted into their contracts and Guardiola’s is likely to be around that figure.
The Spaniard has always talked about the importance of his staff in City’s recent Treble exploit and that was a way to show his appreciation to a sizable number of employees, especially the receptionists and security staff.
Guardiola is a hugely popular figure among the club’s employees and his latest show of generosity will significantly increase the value of bonuses that were already handed to those behind the scenes.
According to the newspaper, staff who work on the administration side of the business, stationed at the club’s training ground, are afforded small bonuses for each trophy win.
