Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice, has revealed why he was able to score against Chelsea in their 2-2 draw in the Premier League on Saturday.
The England international said the belief came from a documentary about David Beckham he watched a night before the game against Chelsea.
He said he never scored from the range he did against Chelsea but believed it was possible after watching the documentary.
The former West Ham United captain said he had to continue shooting from long range since he had nothing to lose if did not score.
Rice, who was delighted with his special strike that inspired Arsenal’s fightback to draw 2-2 with the Blues, added. “It was a special goal to kickstart our comeback, you’ve got to keep shooting – if you shoot, you score!”
Cole Palmer and Mykhailo Mudryk gave Chelsea the lead, but Arsenal struck through Rice and Leandro Trossard ensured that the Gunners left Stamford Bridge with a point.
