For the second year in a row, Arsenal will be top of the Premier League table, after they were held to a 1-1 draw at Liverpool on Saturday.
Again like last season, Mikel Arteta’s men took an early lead at Anfield.
Gabriel Magalhaes stepped up to head home Martin Odegaard’s free-kick after just four minutes to silence the home crowd.
But midway through the first half, the hosts were level.
Mohamed Salah equalized midway through the first half after Trent Alexander-Arnold found him with a stunning pass.
Salah cut pass the vulnerable Oleksandr Zinchenko and smashed in his goal.
Both teams had chances to win the thrilling encounter that followed.
But the best falling to Alexander-Arnold who smashed the bar from close range as Liverpool went on a five-versus-two counter attack.
The result means Arsenal have a one-point gap over Liverpool and Aston Villa with the league one game away from the halfway point, with Tottenham and Manchester City four and six points further back from the Gunners.
