Federico Valverde of Real Madrid has stated that if he wins the Champions League final, he will give up his wife, but not his son.
Real has won the Champions League more times than any other side, with 13 victories to AC Milan’s seven.
However, when they face Liverpool in Paris on Saturday, they’ll be in exactly that predicament, since Jurgen Klopp’s team is still chasing a triple.
They’ll be desperate to win the tournament for which they are best known, and Valverde is so determined to win that he’d give up a lot, not just his son, but a lot more…
The Uruguayan told AS, “It’s a unique trophy for any player in the world,”
“I’m willing to sacrifice many things. Except my son…but maybe even my wife.”
Valverde joined Los Blancos in 2017, although his first season was spent on loan, therefore he missed out on the victory over Liverpool in 2018.
