Ahmed Musa is now the most-capped Nigerian player.
The winger has overtaken former team mates, Joseph Yobo and Vincent Enyeama, who are both on 101 caps.
Musa hit this milestone after coming off the bench against Liberia in a 2022 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
He replaced Kelechi Iheanacho in the 86th minute of the encounter.
Musa had equalled Yobo and Enyeama’s record in the 2-0 win over the Central African Republic on October 10.
The former Kano Pillars man made his senior debut on August 5, 2010, in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar.
He scored his first goal for the Super Eagles in an international friendly against Kenya in March 2011 and has played at two AFCON tournaments as well as two FIFA World Cups.
